Research Workshop (2011)

NIHA conducted its first Research Workshop from 21 – 22 June 2011. Twenty one shortlisted applicants were invited to present their research proposals to an expert panel of reviewers. The presentations were followed by a brief question and answer session.

The shortlisted proposals included those received through the external grant call and the core grant call. The grant applicants had the opportunity to revise their proposals in accordance with NIHA objectives based on the feedback from the reviewers.

The workshop was the final round of review for NIHA Research Grants. It also served as a platform for potential NIHA researchers to interact and build relationships that may lead to fruitful collaborative work in the future.

The final NIHA Research Grant awards were awarded based on the reviews by the panel.

Eight to ten grants were awarded by August 2011.
